Mont Saint Michel engagement photography
Last winter, Dan came to us with his lovely project. He wanted to suprise his girlfriend, and organise a time and place to ask her to marry him. It was the first time we had been asked to be involved in such a project. We liked the idea and set too looking for the perfect place. A quiet beach , a hiden place in the rocks … Dan finally settled for the Mont saint Michel, being Canadian he loved the idea of proposing in such a symbolic and historical place.
So here we are in the amusing situation of prentending to be a couple of tourist on a cold and rainy afternoon with our three cameras, ready to shoot THE « pic »! It was so important not to miss the moment on the bridge when Dan whent down on his knee to ask Becca for her hand in mariage. Emotions where running high, the anticipation, the wind and the cold gave the whole session the most extraordinary feel! I was so happy to be a part of this emotional and intimate moment.
Thank you so much Becca and Dan for your passion, and your madness. Even though you are used the cold, it was really brave to sit in a frozen puddle, just to have a great pic!
Une demande en mariage surprise au Mont Saint Michel
En novembre dernier, Dan nous contacte pour son projet un peu fou.
En effet, il souhaite organiser une demande en mariage surprise pour sa fiancée! C’est la première fois que nous avons ce genre de proposition, cette idée nous séduit. Nous nous organisons pour trouver un lieu idéal et orienter Dan. Une plage déserte, une dune tranquille, un coin caché dans des roches d’une falaise?
Finalement, Dan étant canadien, il rêve d’un lieu symbolique et chargé d’histoire du patrimoine Français! C’est alors que nous sommes embarqués dans une aventure originale : jouer les touristes, avec nos trois boitiers. Ne surtout pas rater la demande de Dan qui était prévue au bout du pont. Heureusement, il fait 3 degrés, il pleut depuis deux bonnes heures, donc aucun touriste n’ose s’aventurer là pour prendre des clichés lorsque Dan arrive avec sa dulcinée… L’émotion est à son comble, le stress de l’aventure du froid et du vent donnent une saveur extraordinaire à cette session. Enfin, vous voyez, leur amour rayonne, c’est tellement inspirant!
Alors merci Dan et Becca pour votre passion, votre folie! Même si vous avez l’habitude du froid chez vous, s’asseoir dans une flaque d’eau glaciale en collants pour la photo c’est vraiment courageux. Enfin, place aux images!
